innovative campers & trailers

Although Innovative Campers & Trailers in Wollongong was only officially established last year, they have been involved in manufacturing various trailer components, additions  & making adjustments to trailers for about six years, generally through word of mouth, via another aluminium manufacturing business they own. From this Andrew & Leigh Ransley realized there was a market for trailers which were a little different to what is currently available on the market.

So around two years ago, Andrew & Leigh decided to build their own off road camper trailer. They have spent these last two years testing the trailers & components, combining what people have asked in their own trailers coming up with what they believe is a unique, well built quality off road trailer. Their aim is to focus on the people in the market who are looking for a quality light weight off road camper trailer.

A trailer & tent are extremely lightweight coming in at only 560kg making them fuel efficient. The trailers are constructed in aluminium with structural aluminium used in the draw bar & frame in a  powder coat finish.

There are three models on offer, all with independent trailing arm coil suspension as standard, 10 inch electric brakes, with sealed lockable side storage compartments, off road coupling and handbrake, a 15oz Australian made canvas tent & inner spring mattress.

The Axis is the base model making it a great camper the customer can add their own options to including a water tank, battery system, alloy wheels, tool box etc, building the trailer to customize exactly what they need.

The two other models have different options packaged in with the trailer. The Advantage has been upgraded to include alloy wheels, premium tail lights, water tank, large tool box with firewood rack, battery system, stainless steel kitchen, carpeted lockers and trailer tub.

The Exceed has the standard features of the Advantage, however the trailer tub is accessed through a slide out luggage draw, combination fridge/draw slide & a custom made slide out aluminium kitchen with sink & two burner SMEV stove, upgraded battery & 240volt power system, external tap & stereo/DVD player to draw slide.

Andrew & Leigh are pretty flexible if someone has something they want to add to their trailer, so all they need to do is ask.

The 9foot by 12foot tent is manufactured in Sydney from Australian Dynaproof Canvas & comes standard with an annexe roof. Options include annexe walls & floor, a fly over the main tent or kids room to the back.

Innovative Campers & Trailers also build custom made trailers, motorbike trailer & purpose built box trailers. More info can be found on their website at www.innovativecampertrailers.com.au
