invited to attend the next members weekend at Tenterfield

YOUR HOST for
the weekend will be Ian and Collette.
WHERE. Tenterfield Showgrounds, 62 Miles Street,
Tenterfield NSW.
WHEN. On the weekend of Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th
November 2018. You are more than welcome to arrive earlier or leave by 7th
November with another caravan group arriving.
GETTING THERE. Tenterfield is located at the
junction of the New England and Bruxner Highways approx. 3.5 hours south of
Brisbane, 2 hours west of Lismore or 3 hours east of Moree.
From the north travel through
town and turn right into Miles Street with Sexton and Green Holden
dealer on the right and the Tourist Information on the left and
motel. Travel down Miles Street for approximately 200 metres past a
park and church and the showground entrance is on the right.
Travelling from the south turn left prior to the commencement of the
shops in town and the corner of Miles Street.
CAMPING. We will be camping in the powered campsite
area at Tenterfield Showground on the banks of Tenterfield Creek which is within
walking distance of town. The area allocated is near the Wool Shed which can be
used if we have inclement weather at an additional fee.
MAKING ARRANGEMENTS.
There is no need to book.
If you would like to attend just add your name to the

CamperTrailers forum under the Upcoming Events heading or in the
Australian
CamperTrailers Facebook Group by typing Tenterfield into the search this group
window.
CAMPING FEES.
$20 per site per night.
POWER.
We have been offered a reduced flat rate over all powered and non-powered sites
with 25 sites powered.
PAYMENT.
Please pay camping fees to Ian and Collette on arrival.
WATER.
There is drinking water available.
AMENITIES.
There are flushing toilets along with one male and female
hot shower in the amenities block. Additional facilities in the main
camping area including a disabled shower and toilet.
DUMP POINT. There is a dump point at the entrance of
the showgrounds.
CAMPFIRES. Campfires are allowed in the central fire
pits provided. If you wish to bring your own fire pit it must be off
the ground to ensure the ground does not get burnt.
FIREWOOD.
Firewood for the communal fire will be provided by Ian and Collette
from their property. The hat will be passed around & money raised
will be donated to the Westpac Helicopter Appeal.
RECYCLABLE
BOTTLES & CANS. There will be recycle bins provided for
uncrushed cans and bottles with the money donated to the Westpac
Helicopter Appeal.
DOGS. Dogs are welcome & must be kept
on a leash at all times as well as being picked up after.
RUBBISH. There are rubbish bins provided.
HAPPY HOUR. Communal
happy hour 3.00pm on Saturday. Please bring your table, chairs, nibbles & drinks
along for a combined happy hour, meeting those you have not chatted with so far
over the weekend.

Come sit &
relax with a bunch of like minded people. Check the modifications others have done to
their camper trailers to make camping life all that more enjoyable. You might
meet as complete strangers on the Friday evening, but will part old friends such
is the camaraderie.
You do not need a camper trailer to attend. Members without a camper are more
than welcome to come along & get a first hand unbiased opinion of a particular
camper trailer from their owners. Come along & meet the faces behind the typing.
You are also very welcome to drop in for the day.
Please keep in mind that the group owners will not accept any responsibility
for members & non-members actions during the weekend get together.
If you decide to attend, it is solely at your own responsibility, including any
side trips or outings during the weekend meet.
