WHERE. Bigriggen Park, 196 Bigriggan Road, Via

WHEN. On the weekend of Saturday 29th & Sunday
30th of August 2015. Your hosts will be arriving late Thursday.
GETTING THERE. Bigriggen Park is approx one hour
thirty minutes to two hours drive from Brisbane & the Gold Coast.

ARRIVAL TIMES.
You may arrive between 8.00am - 6.00pm, 8.00am - 8.00pm Fridays only.
THE ROAD. The road is suitable for all vehicles
including caravans.
CAMPING. Bigriggen Park is set on 100 acres of high
hilltops and gentle river flats within close proximity to national narks and
bordered by the Logan River and Burnett Creek. Bigriggen Park offers level,
grassy, non-powered camping with plenty of shade, without the restriction of
small designated sites.
MAKING ARRANGEMENTS.
Please prebook your site via the Bigriggen Park
online booking form noting you will be camping with the CamperTrailers Group
in the camping with others window.
Then add your name to the attendance form provided. The address of the form can be
found in message 81861 within the
Australian CamperTrailers
Yahoo Group, the Australian
CamperTrailers forum under the Upcoming Events heading or in the
Australian
CamperTrailers Facebook Group by typing Bigriggen in the 'search this
group' window.
CAMPING FEES.
Adults $10.00 & Children $7.00 per night
POWER.
There are no powered sites.
WATER. Drinking water can be found at the amenities
block. It is advisable as an extra precaution you boil the water before
drinking.
CAMPFIRES are allowed in the fire
pits provided.
FIREWOOD.
Please bring some firewood along. Firewood is also available in 20kg bags at the
kiosk.
TOILETS. There are flushing toilets.
SHOWERS. 20 cent two minute hot showers.
PETS. No pets are allowed owning to abundant
resident wildlife.
RUBBISH. Bins are provided.
KIOSK
is open each day from 8am to 6pm provides items such as bread, milk, ice, soft
drinks, ice creams, firewood, LPG refills etc.
There is no EFTPOS or credit card facilities.
MORNING TEA
will be held on Friday &
Saturday mornings at 10am.
ACTIVITIES.
There are a variety of things to do at Bigriggen including walking, swimming,
cycling (kids bring your own push-bike is a must!), fishing, canoeing (BYO),
bird watching, platypus spotting, nocturnal wildlife spotting, satellite
spotting (ask at office for satellite pass details), relaxing, cooking &
conversation around a campfire, bushwalking tracks into the nearby national
parks are all easily accessed by a short car drive.
Come sit &
relax with a bunch of like minded people. Check the modifications others have done to
their camper trailers to make camping life all that more enjoyable. You might
meet as complete strangers on the Friday evening, but will part old friends such
is the camaraderie.
You do not need a camper trailer to attend. Members without a camper
are more than welcome to come along & get a first hand unbiased opinion of a
particular camper trailer from their owners. Come along & meet the faces behind
the typing.
Please keep in mind that the group owners will not accept any responsibility
for members & non-members actions during the weekend get together. If you
decide to attend, it is solely at your own responsibility, including any side
trips or outings during the weekend meet.
