We
arrived Thursday morning with dark clouds over head, after
finding a spot, we set up camp. After lunch a new member, Barry
arrived, found a place and set up his new Jayco and joined us
for the evening chatting about places he lived and where I grew
up.
Friday we woke to a miserable day, with memories of the recent
Minlaton meet, I thought here we go another wet weekend and yes
it poured after lunch just as Jason arrived. He set up
camp in the rain and later joined us and Barry in our camper
trailer.
We
all spent the evening in a shelter area with a small fire
enjoying a few drinks with cheese and crackers, then off to bed.
Saturday we woke to a perfect day with blue skies. Rosie and
Barry went on a 3km walk in scrub area near the camp. Dirk, Joy
with kids, Lisa and Trent arrived late afternoon, not long after
Barry's Mate Janis (pronounced Yanis) arrived and stayed
overnight.
The
evening saw us all around the big campfire area. We pulled
dinner, each contributing something, Jason showed just how great
a cook this young fireman was with meat balls and potatoes.
Yummmm. Trent was chief marshmellow on a stick cooker. Rosie
cooked her special pumpkin damper, served with jam and cream for
desert.
A
very late night was had by all even later for some LOL.
Sunday we woke to another lovely day, the morning saw more
walks. In the afternoon Rosie and I went to Naracoorte and had a
look at the Wool Shed Museum. Joy and Lisa found a homeless dog,
a white Maltese terrier, very cute doggy. Sunday evening had us
all back around the camp fire, an early night was had by all.

Monday we woke to a miserable day, Dirk packed up in the pouring
rain and left in the afternoon after trying fishing again with
still no luck. Monday evening was spent
quiet around the camp fire with a couple and their son who
parked next to us in a caravan.
Tuesday the skies were
grey with fine rain. We all packed up and said our good byes and
headed off, being the last to leave by 9am.

This was our second CamperTrailers meet as hosts this year. It
was great meeting new friends and putting faces to names that
appear on the Group's forum. Its just a pity, more people
couldn't attend, 4 Camper trailers isn't many, but I guess its
more than none.
See you next time
