The weather Gods were kind to this years camp after a stormy start to the week. Friday was the start to a perfect weekend with quite a few arriving in the afternoon and setting up the campfires in readiness to celebrate a couple of birthdays. After dinner a few were in bed early as the the temperature dropped to 2 degrees celcius overnight.

Saturday the temperature climbed to around 20 degrees and set the scene for the rest of the weekend. The number of campers swelled to around 30 and it was unanimously decided to hold the Christmas party outside under the stars, Tables were brought down from the Scout hall and the team led by the ladies decorated the tables and some combined cooking resulted in a magnificent meal.

Because we were allowed to set up on the flat area and have cooking fires this insured most were able to camp closer together and enjoy the camaraderie it was no doubt the best Canobolas Camp yet and all are looking forward to next year.

A huge thank you to all who attended and left the campsite as clean as they found it.
