Hi all,
After the last proposal by NSWNP to raise all camping fees depending on the amenities provided, the latest idea is to open campgrounds to commercial operators who will provide ‘supported camping’ options at 23 campgrounds in 16 national parks. As always the information released is a little foggy. What percentage of campsites will be effected & which national parks?
This article has a little more info than most others I have come across https://weareexplorers.co/nsw-national- ... d-camping/ They say there will only be a very small percentage of sites effected in each campground & not at busy times or nothing permanently set up.
The commercial operators service would include setting up, to providing everything including meals, so you just need to turn up, camp for the weekend & drive away. I would be interested in seeing the hiring fees for such a service which would of course include camping fees.
Nearby properties within a short drive from a national park would have to see an opening here in providing glamping tent accommodation, tiny houses etc
Of course there is always the other option in hiring a camper trailer or caravan via Camplify & take it to the national park yourself.
We love our national park camping. From the list above there are only two we camp in. Would it really effect us, probably not at this stage.
