Newly built trailer thoughts

Post by Spuddy » Tue Apr 20, 2021 10:17 pm

Gday champions!

I have just joined the group, and its good to be here!. But as it stands i do not yet own a camper trailer

The misses and i love our camping, and a double swag or tent has always been fine, we both love the idea of a camper but were fine without it. Now since our new addition (currently 6month boy) and knowing another will come one day, i feel its time!.

First and only campers i have ever looked at in a showroom is the Cub Frontier and Drifer 2.
Im also pretty concious of buying Aussie made,
(And I know this convo would come up all the time)
While these 2 campers are amazing, they of course are pricey.

I want to find out more, from your personal experience with any and all foward fold camper trailers within the last couple of years.

Topics im keen to hear about
- firstly are you happy with your purchase
- do you find the setup a task
-do you wish you splashed a bit more fully Aus made
- if you had your time again, would you go perhaps a hybrid
- quality of the trailer and longevity of parts
- what its like to tow
- has weight been a concern with overloading

And any other points you deem relevant in to helping me dicovers the best choice for me.

Look forward to hearing from you all, have a good one 8-)
Cheers, Spuddy

I came here to find out the same. Would love to read about experiences of any owners of Cub Frontier or Cub Scout.
