Hi Rob,

Good move to get away from Yahoo groups. This looks like a much better venue.

Cheers,

Franz

I've just registered here and I've been mousing around the board and account settings.
It seems that this board is currently only a small sub-set of the phpBB possibilities and is set up with no thought for those people who prefer to be kept updated by eMail and want to log in only to contribute to a discussion. I am one of these people and will prefer to use the Yahoo version of the group while it still exists.

Peter.

Great work on the new forum.

As a user of many forums and having also run one myself, the forum format gives a lot of scope and flexibilty .

Keep up the good work

Hi Peter,

We have no intention of closing the long running CamperTrailers Yahoo Group & hope this forum gives everyone a little more scope to be involved, particually those who are having a hard time with the Yahoo Groups new format online. I downloaded & tested a few different forums before ending up with the phpbb forum which I thought would suit the needs of most. Just need an email plug-in & it would be perfect for everyone.

I think it's a great move Rob. I'm more likely to post on a forum than in yahoo groups.

I think in the end you will need to decide which will be used. Having some of the info/posts here and some on Yahoo is going to be a pain in the longer term unfortunately, and triple the work if you include the FB site as well.

Hi Rob,
I took the plunge and registered so will see how I go.
Good on you for giving it a try.
I originally set up an email just for CT info, so got only CT emails to that and nothing else. Worked well.

G'day Rob,

Good move mate. phpBB has always been a very user friendly board.

Looking forward to catching up at Colo with the dancing girls

Cheers, Scott
