Move from Yahoo

Post by Obeeone » Mon Feb 10, 2014 8:55 pm

Great job Rob & everyone else involved.

It's good to see a move away from Yahoo who have, as far as I'm concerned completely ruined the Yahoo groups.

Not wrong there Carl. From a little Googling I found people are moving away from yahoo groups in droves after the release of the new format. I suppose we are lucky to have so much of the useful information already held on the campertrailers.org website.

The Yahoo Camper Trailer forum has been a great adventure and connector, for thousands of people with an interest in camping. Thanks, most of all, to your efforts, Rob.

We all appreciate that Yahoo now has a gigantic customer base, but still .... their unresponsiveness to customer concerns does leave one wondering ...

Anyway, keen to add my Congratulations to you Rob, and compatriots, for the establishment of the new forum. Great initiative - well done. Looks good.
Easy, easy, and let's enjoy it develop.

cheers
Edward

Yep, this forum site looks good, and nowhere near as limiting as Yahoo.
Good work Rob,
Why the Yahoo ad on the home page though - I assume if we all like this Yahoo would ultimately be dropped?

I registered a while ago for the Yahoo group - only ever received emails from it but used the actual site for a while.

I've not touched Yahoo Groups in a few years hence no actual participation until now - been more of a listener as much prefer web forums, and if they are compatible with Tapatalk makes keeping it mobile quite easy.

Nice work and look forward to (now!) being more active. :)

Cheers,
Nick
