All I can say is... about bloody time!
Actually, there are a couple of other things..
When General starts filling with threads you will (not might) need to separate them into logical categories, I'd suggest doing that now while there aren't too many threads to move. Separate categories means subscribers aren't being bombarded with off topic posts, plus having logical areas to post in encourages members to participate.
Given that campers are often mobile users perhaps look at Tapatalk as another means of serving forum posts.
Will probably think of more to annoy you with, but for now.. well done guys!

Edit: The 6kb file size limit on avatars is just a little bit 2004...

Hi Dirk,
Longtime mate. I was trying to keep the forum as open as I could & not clutter it with a category for every subject. Some forums I am a member of are like a rabbit warren.
The 6kb file size is the standard phpbb3 program setting. What would be a more appropiate file size???
Thanks for the tip on tapatalk.

I don't think you need lots of categories, just enough to separate into logical groups to promote viewing and posting.
Most defaults in phpBB haven't been updated in years.. I'd go for a minimum 12kb file size, and up to 138px wide (fits the column nicely).

I think you will need some categories.
For example, what about 'for sale'

Hi Malcolm,
The Yahoo Group, Forum & Facebook Group are a little different to most forums as we have the campertrailers.org website where members as well as non-members can find camper trailers & related camping gear for sale on the camper trader page http://www.campertrailers.org/camper_trader.htm
