Big Sky at Narrabri

Post by Dexdoggy » Wed Aug 21, 2019 11:13 am

I would have posted back in May after our trip, however just 1 day back at work & I managed to get myself run over by a van in Sydney and ended up in hospital for a few weeks
(Moral of story - go camping, don't go to work!!)

Our trip to Narrabri was brilliant! A lovely town that we made our base for almost 2 weeks, it was full of highlights for us!
My GO SEE MUST DO list!
- Australia Telescope Compact Array
- Old Gaol Heritage Museum
- Sawn Rocks
- The Pilliga
- Mount Kaputar NP (it was 4 degrees and it has had snow falls since!)

We also got along to the fantastic Narrabri Show. It is always a highlight to do this sort of thing when the timing aligns.

We stayed at Big Sky Caravan Park; the management went out of their way to make us welcome (and really, they cater for RV's & caravans much more than campers). They have a really nice camp kitchen and amenities. After discussing their idea with us they have now implemented a dog minding service too!
We left our pup at the local vet on National Park days, she was well looked after.

NSW has so many fantastic towns like Narrabri; well worth considering for a camping trip.
