Hi all,
My wife and I have recently purchased a 2007 model Avan Cruiser ... The standard jockey wheel (Al-Ko swivel bracket, 6" solid rubber wheel) is OK but we are looking for something a little easier to use on rough/soft ground. Any suggestions/recommendations?
Which jockey wheel upgrade?

One of our members has just installed an ARK off road jockey wheel & seems to be very happy with it http://arkcorp.com.au/p/3415/off-road-jockey-wheel
After a few uses he is doing an article for the tech tips page http://www.campertrailers.org/tech_tips.htm

Thanks Rob and Carol ... Yes, I spotted that one yesterday when looking around on the net ... I will be interested to see the tech tips review ... Wonder if anyone knows where in Adelaide I could see the Ark range in the flesh?

Hi Greg,
On the Ark website they have a where to buy page http://arkcorp.com.au/t/WhereToBuy
Matt will be attending the national meet with the jockeywheel fitted to his camper if anyone would like to check it out.

Re: Which jockey wheel upgrade?
Yes, I've had a ring around the retail stores with mixed results ... generally vague in terms of information and pretty limited stock (need to touch and see this stuff in the flesh). I've managed to track down an auto accessories shop (not on Ark's website list) who have the 6" and 10" wheel heavy duty models. I was thinking that the 8" model would be a good compromise in terms of van manoeuvrability versus up and down movement of the drawbar. The guy I spoke to was less than interested in having a conversation about my needs ... but I'll go and have a look just to get an idea of quality ... there are lots of places selling these items online.
