But packed down from week on straddie and have found ants have made there home in canvas roof of camper, need to know best solution to kill these guys without destroying canvas, as have been told not to spray insect spray directly onto canvas. Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Ants in Canvas on camper
Hi Simon,
The safest way not to destroy the waterproofing of the canvas is just use a brush & pan in the camper. We had ants everywhere after heavy rain camping a couple of years ago & unknowingly they came home with us complete with eggs. We removed everything & brushed over the whole camper to get rid of them spraying the ants once they fell on the ground.
When we use to store our camper outside I sprayed insect killer up the tube of the jockeywheel & around the axle behind the wheels to form a barrier so it would not get washed away easy. This worked well. Some members have used talcum powder around the wheels & jockeywheel to form a barrier when the camper is stored undercover.
