Weekend meets cancellation

Post by campertrailerman » Tue Mar 24, 2020 10:04 am

Hi all,

Following the announcement by the prime minister that we should avoid non essential travel, all Australian CamperTrailers Group weekend get togethers will be cancelled until circumstances change http://www.campertrailers.org/upcoming_events.htm

The organising of the national meet will proceed & hopefully things will be back to normal in six months time. You will find details of the 16th national meet at http://www.campertrailers.org/national_meet_2020.htm

Hi all,

As posted earlier all upcoming weekend meets have been cancelled until it is announced camping & social gatherings are save again.

While it has just been announced that NSW will be continuing social distancing for another 90 days, we are still proceeding with arrangements for this years national meet at Walcha NSW at the start of October in the hope that everything will be back to normal by then & the threat of the Corona Virus is reduced to a minimum.

Details of the Australian CamperTrailers Group 16th national meet can be seen at http://www.campertrailers.org/national_meet_2020.htm along with the online attendance form found under the ‘making arrangements’ heading.

Please consider your power requirements as there are only a small number of 10amp power outlets available, unlike other years. Power for medical reasons will be first taken into account.

An Ampfabian or similar JayCar adaptor will be needed to connect your 15amp camper trailer or van inlet to the showground 10amp power outlets. All leads are only to be used in one continuous length from the outlet to the camper trailer or caravan. No illegal 15amp to 10amp adaptors leads are to be used.

Please keep in mind that the group owners will not accept any responsibility for members & non-members actions during the get together. If you decide to attend, it is solely at your own responsibility, including any side trips or outings during the meet.

If you have not been to a national meet, see what happened at the 15th national meet in Bonalbo http://www.campertrailers.org/bonalbo19.htm

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Hi all,

All Australian CamperTrailers Group members weekend get togethers are cancelled until circumstances allow these events to take place once again.

While NSW travel restrictions have been eased from June 1st allowing for regional travel, we are still restricted to public gatherings of not more than 10 persons with a 1.5 metre social distancing rule.
Stage 2 relaxation of restrictions has not been announced, but will see gatherings restricted to not more than 20 people.

In stage 3, gatherings will be restricted to not more than 100 people. There is no information when stage 3 will be introduced or for how long it will be enforced until we are back to normal.

Fingers crossed, we are still hopeful the national meet will take place allowing for 200 people or more to gather by September/October. A decision will be made soon if the event will go ahead, so we do not leave members hanging & can then plan an alternate trip if they wish.

Our members best interest, health & safety are our number one piority. Hopefully it will not be long until we are gathering around the campfire once again as a group.

Dates up all members weekend meets can be found at http://www.campertrailers.org/upcoming_events.htm
