Kimberley Kampers has just launched new models in the 2011
MyCube rooftop tent range.
Using Australian made Generation 2 Canvas which is impregnated
with a patented silver finish to reflect the heat, a mill finish
aluminium honeycomb floor which insulates the standard 75mm
medium density foam mattress, lets the MyCube come in at less
than 40kgs. Even with additional options like the tropical roof,
dual layer mattress, deflector shield with solar panel plus
battery & a mattress heater, sees the MyCube weigh only 60kgs.
The MyCube is 248mm in height when closed or nearly 10 inches
in the old scale & can be fitted to low profile roof racks or
any multi-vehicle roof rack system matching the roof size of
smaller soft roaders like the Honda CRV or Toyota RAV 4, as long
as vehicle will take a loaded weight of 55kgs and a static load
with people weight when camping. Only two roof racks are
required.
Kimberley Group Managing Director Bruce Loxton said the
company began producing & exporting roof top tents in 2008.
Since then, almost 100 MyCube Roof Top Tents have been built and
shipped all around Australia and into New Zealand/ Europe.
“2011 Represents a big year for us. With ever-increasing fuel
costs and a growing number of people wanting to get out and
explore this great country, we see our MyCube roof top tent
being a great solution for these problems. Because of it’s light
weight and low profile the MyCube suits all kinds of vehicles
from small soft-roaders through to bush-bashing 4WDs” said Mr
Loxton.
“And, of course, you can add our Star System Awning with
walls for a complete campsite. Our 2011 pricing now includes LED
lighting and tropical roof as standard to give you the best
value ever. We’ve also kept our manufacturing here in Australia
so we can continue to provide the highest quality possible”.
