Day trips The Minlaton Cabin and Caravan Park's central location makes it a superb base for exploring the Yorke Peninsula. With only 15 minutes to either side of the Peninsula and no area more than 1 hours drive away, you will discover that Minlaton is the perfect starting point
for many day trips spent exploring. From the historic Copper Triangle at the northern end to the spectacular and rugged Innes National Park at the south, the Yorke Peninsula offers any holiday maker a relaxed yet stimulating experience.

There are plenty of wonderful day trips short or long either heading south or north of Minlaton. There are also beaches very close  which you can 4wd on, most locals around here do that to get away from the crowds. Also some good sand board areas close by.

You have wonderful coastal towns either side of the peninsula heading north or south. Heading north you have the copper coast - the old copper mining areas (Cornish pasty area) being Moonta, Wallaroo and Kadina.  Heading south you have either the west or east coast both very different. The east coast is very sheltered and the west coast is straight from the sea. Down further, another 1 1/2 hours drive, you have the
beautiful Innes National Park - kangaroos etc, surfing beaches, and just some amazing scenery.

Minlaton itself has a pub, club, asian takeaway and also 2 takeaway delis. There is a great tourist info place that serves great scones with coffee called Harvest Corner. There is a IGA that would only be open Sat morn on weekend but there is also an IGA (smaller) that is open 7 days.

Suggestions for the weekend. You can just sit back and relax, there will be a walk-about (looking at every-ones camper trailer) and a show and tell one night.

You do not need a camper trailer to attend. Members without a camper are more than welcome to come along & get a firsthand unbiased opinion of a particular camper trailer from their owners. Also please feel free to drop in for the day.

Please keep in mind that the group owners will not accept any responsibility for members & non-members actions during the weekend get together.

If you decide to attend, it is solely at your own responsibility, including any side trips or outings during the weekend meet.
