boles competition

The seventh annual soft floor (softies) V's hard floor (tin billycans) camper trailer boles competition was played for the Nyngan Cup trophy hosted by Greg Carthew. The defending champions, Mal & Greg retired unbeaten and did not play.

There were six people including kids playing for the hardies and four players for the softies. Spectators cheered and booed each and every shot, sometimes accompanied by spectacular mexican waves. After strenuous struggles on both sides the winning team for the softies were Peter & Deidre Clarke and for the hardies, Chris Rogers and Craig Quinn.

Under the watchful eye of referee Greg Carthew, a hard fought battle ensued with the game starting out evenly scored, but slowly the softies pulled away. In a thrilling finish the softies triumphed with a 13 to 7 points win.
